COMMUNITY DRIVEN PLAN
The WSISD Long Range Facilities Planning Committee of 50 plus parents, students, educators, and taxpayers studied enrollment projections, district finances, tax scenarios and facility assessments to prepare for future student enrollment growth. The committee presented its recommendation to the Board of Trustees, and the school board called a SPECIAL ELECTION FOR May 7, 2022.
Proposition A is a $115 million bond package that addresses future enrollment growth and includes improvements at all schools and facilities in WSISD. Proposition A is a 2 cent increase to WSISD’s Interest and Sinking Fund, which funds debt payments of the district, including construction of new facilities. The $115 million bond package would increase the I&S tax rate from .48 to .50 per $100 valuation.
